Learn more about planned Nine Mile Bridge at Oct. 26 meeting

The community has waited a long time to have a bicycle/pedestrian bridge near Parker Road and Interstate 225 that will enable people to cross safely over Parker Road near the RTD Nine Mile Station while simultaneously improving traffic flow along this major metro-area corridor.

If you live, work or regularly visit this area, join us for a virtual public meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26. At the meeting, the project team will:

·     Show images of the bridge design

Decorate a wreath for the Aurora History Museum's 22nd Festival of Wreaths

It’s never too early to get into the holiday spirit. And you can do so by donating a decorated wreath to become part of the Aurora History Museum’s 22nd annual Festival of Wreaths which kicks off Nov. 2 with online bidding.

This festival fundraiser features wreaths generously sponsored and decorated by local businesses, organizations and individuals. This year’s proceeds will contribute to purchasing a large format printer to allow the museum to print oversized marketing, exhibit, and education program materials to benefit the public programs and events offered by the Aurora History Museum & Historic Sites.

Individuals and groups can pick up wreaths for $15 or design their own wreaths. You can pick up your wreath at the Aurora History Museum, 15051 E. Alameda Parkway, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Decorated wreaths are due by Sunday, Oct. 24.

Wreaths may be viewed online and will also be on display at the museum. Bidding will end Dec. 10. Learn more at Aurora History Museum.
